Lately the A-Frame tent that I built has had a lot of use by our nearly 2 year old - as a reading nook, quiet place to play or cozy place to snuggle by the fire.

Nearly all the wood I used in this project was recycled from something else, like an old bed frame slat, etc.

I used the tutorial on abeautifulmess.com http://www.abeautifulmess.com/2012/08/make-your-own-a-frame-tent.html

I made a few changes like the type of fabric used. I wanted mine to be reversible so I used some coordinating fabric that purchased at spotlight. I also used elastic bands to anchor the sides of my tent instead of ties.

This project leaves a lot of room to be creative and put your own spin on it.

It was a lot of fun to do and over the last year it has had heaps of use inside and out.
